The setting of the story is East City in the year 20XX, where the toy B-Daman is a popular pastime for children.

Riki Ryugasaki, an elementary school student in East City, aspires to be an adventurer when he grows up. Known for his lively personality and love for mystery, Riki's curiosity is piqued when he attends a B-Daman event with his childhood friend Sumi Inaba.

Despite not participating as a player, Riki's interest in B-Daman grows, fueled further by an urban legend circulating among the town's children about a secret B-Daman tournament. Through a series of events, Riki encounters Samuru Shigami, a boy with a White Dragon Type B-Daman who introduces him to a world beyond his imagination.
